Travelling can be an exciting and enriching experience, especially when it involves exploring emerging trends in the tech space. Recently, we had the opportunity to visit two of the world’s most iconic locations, Dubai and Paris, where we gained a comprehensive understanding of current and emerging trends in the web3 space.

Over the course of two weeks, we met with various industry leaders and investors, attended conferences and workshops, and visited key players in the tech space. Our goal was to not only gain a better understanding of the current state of web3 technology but also to continue building and securing our strategic partner ecosystem.

In Dubai, we attended the AI and Blockchain Summit (AIBC), which is one of the most significant blockchain events in the Middle East. This year’s event focused on the theme of “How AI and Blockchain Are Changing the World,” and brought together over 4000 attendees from around the world. We were impressed by the level of innovation and creativity on display, particularly in areas such as decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), gaming, and artificial intelligence (AI) integration with blockchain.

One of the most exciting emerging trends we saw in Dubai was the ongoing interest in blockchain gaming. We witnessed how blockchain is continuing to drive new possibilities for gaming, such as true ownership of in-game assets, provably fair gameplay, and player-driven economies. We also saw how blockchain-based games can create new revenue streams for developers and players alike, learning and maturing from the early iterations seen thus far.

Our time in Paris was equally productive, as we attended the Paris Blockchain Week, which is one of the most significant blockchain events in Europe. This year’s event brought together over 3000 attendees from around the world to discuss the latest developments in blockchain technology and decentralized applications. We were particularly impressed by the level of collaboration and innovation on display as the space continues to mature.

We saw how gaming companies are leveraging blockchain technology to create new gaming experiences that are more immersive, decentralized, and secure as well as evaluating the topic of user-generated content which is a key area we are focussed on innovating in.

After a busy couple of weeks, we look forward to continuing to build and secure our strategic partner ecosystem and to playing a leading role in the ongoing development of web3 innovation and the products we can bring to market.
